Starfish Technologies will use IBC2026 to showcase the flexibility of its transport stream processing software, including the latest versions of TS Splicer (Win) and TS Splicer (K8).
TS Splicer handles a wide range of functions for processing encoded media streams, from clean switching of live feeds and ad replacement to regional programme substitution, SCTE-35 processing and logo insertion. It supports MPEG-2, H.264 and HEVC/H.265 streams across SD, HD and UHD services, with SMPTE 2022-7 input protection.
What sets the software apart is how easily it adapts as a service changes. Functionality can be enabled or removed remotely, so operators can add features, change how a channel is processed, or scale a deployment without reinstalling software or replacing the platform. That flexibility is central to how Starfish builds its products. The company works closely with customers, updating and fine-tuning the software to meet the demands of live services, and the range of processing functions keeps growing as a result.
At IBC, Starfish will also demonstrate its Monitoring Dashboard, giving operators a consolidated view of running services, inputs, outputs and system status. It lets teams see what’s active and what’s coming up without needing separate monitoring tools.
Delivered as TS Splicer (Win) for Windows OS servers or TS Splicer (K8) for Kubernetes environments and backed by a comprehensive REST API for integration with automation, control and monitoring systems, Starfish software is currently deployed in more than 1,000 live channels worldwide.
