Interra Systems to Showcase Smarter Quality Assurance and Real-Time, Actionable Media Monitoring at NAB Show New York 2026

Interra Systems Exhibitor Preview
NAB Show New York 2026
Oct. 21-22, 2026
Javits Center, New York, NY
Booth: 244

Macroblocking, frozen frames, a missing ad marker that costs a sponsor its spot. A caption that lands two seconds after the line is spoken. These are the moments viewers notice before operations teams have identified their source. At NAB Show New York 2026, Interra Systems will show how broadcasters, streaming services, and media companies can flip that order, detecting quality issues before audiences and identifying the root cause in minutes rather than hours or days.

At booth 244, the company will demonstrate the latest versions of ORION, BATON, BATON Captions, and VEGA Media Analyzer, a complete suite of powerful tools that helps media companies deliver high-quality video experiences to every screen while making the workflows behind them simpler.

Timing matters. Streaming accounted for 48.6% of U.S. TV viewing in May 2026, according to Nielsen’s latest available Gauge report. Feeds, formats, and delivery points keep multiplying. The teams responsible for quality typically don’t.

“When something goes wrong in a video workflow, operations teams and engineers want one thing: to find the error and fix it fast,” said Anupama Anantharaman, vice president of product management at Interra Systems. “The real opportunity for AI in QC and monitoring is to make quality information smarter: to show what matters, explain why, and point straight to the cause. Built on deep format and protocol expertise and running on premises, in the cloud or both, our products let customers scale quality assurance with results they can trust.”

ORION: See Every Feed, Fix Problems Faster, Scale Without Adding Staff
When something breaks in a live operation, every second counts. Interra Systems’ ORION brings IP, SDI, and streaming sources into one live view, so operators spot problems the moment they happen and scale from a handful of feeds to a full network operations center. When an alert fires, the integrated BATON Media Player lets operators replay the exact moment, including ad segments, right from the multiviewer instead of hunting through recordings.

New at the show is an AI capability that automatically detects corrupted frames, and a demo of the Video Quality Index scores picture quality straight from a live stream with no reference copy needed, so teams see what viewers see. Updated SCTE 35 (2023) checks and DASH manifest validation help protect ad revenue and keep OTT delivery reliable. ORION also supports the formats modern facilities run on, including NDI, Zixi, JPEG XS, ST 2110, and 4K over SDI, with live 4K analysis at 60 frames per second.

Across sites, ORION Central Manager provides consistency reports for the whole workflow, PagerDuty alerts that reach the right engineer, the option to pause alerts during planned work so real issues stand out, and secure remote probe access when direct connections are blocked.

BATON: Automated QC That Keeps Pace With Content Volume
Content volumes keep climbing, delivery windows keep shrinking, and manual review cannot keep up. BATON automatically checks video, audio, captions, metadata, and containers across high-volume workflows, so errors are caught early, review time drops, and problems never reach the viewer or damage the brand.

The latest release makes those checks sharper and quieter. Improved audio and video analysis cuts false alarms while widening what BATON can catch, from freeze frames and jerky motion to leftover color bars, stray logos, and QR codes. New AI checks explain why a file failed, not just that it failed. Faster ProRes decoding and AV1 analysis across multiple cores shorten turnaround, while Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos validation protects premium content.

Running it gets simpler too, with an assistant inside the product, a Service Manager in the browser, automatic health alerts, and faster database and API performance. IPv6 support and secure Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud storage access let QC run wherever the content lives.

BATON Captions: Accurate, Compliant Captions in Every Language
Captions are both a legal obligation and a promise to viewers, yet captioning errors are easy to miss by eye. BATON Captions automatically validates timing, sync, reading speed, language consistency, and formatting across all major caption and subtitle formats, helping teams deliver to every platform with confidence.

This year’s headline is Maestro, a new AI assistant inside the product that offers instant, contextual guidance as people work. AI also creates content summaries and scene tags that flag profanity and violence, speeding up compliance review. Teams can compare captions across localized versions, prevent truncated text with TTI Extension support, and automatically fix captions that collide with text already burned into the picture. More accurate Whisper transcription, an editor in the browser, richer STL export with UK Teletext support, and native RHEL 9 and Rocky 9 support round out the release.

VEGA Media Analyzer: When Pass or Fail Is Not Enough
When a stream breaks, engineers need to know exactly what went wrong and where. VEGA Media Analyzer looks deep inside the codec, the frames, and the bitstream to pinpoint the cause, confirm standards compliance, and settle interoperability questions across file and stream workflows.

Recent updates add AV1 and VVC support, faster analysis across multiple cores, broader cloud compatibility and upgraded diagnostics. With VMAF, PSNR, and SSIM quality measurement, teams can compare encodes and evaluate vendors using hard data instead of opinion. VEGA is also bringing VMAF comparison against a reference into ORION, linking live monitoring and deep analysis in a single workflow.
