New mobile and web experience enables FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) fans to track cars live through each stage, view live split times, compare drivers, and follow results across every category in real time using smartphones, tablets and the Rally.TV website, with Smart TV support planned next
Bergen, Norway – Tuesday 23 June: Ease Live, the interactivity expert, today announced that its graphics overlay platform is powering a new interactive experience on Rally.TV, the official video and streaming platform of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The interactive fan experience launches on the Rally.TV website ahead of EKO Acropolis Rally Greece (25–28 June) after being introduced on mobile devices during Vodafone Rally de Portugal (7–10 May 2026), giving rally fans a richer and more immersive way to follow the live action.
First launched across iOS and Android during Vodafone Rally de Portugal, one of the most popular events on the WRC calendar, this interactive experience will now be available via Rally.TV’s website in time for the iconic EKO Acropolis Rally Greece, bringing it to more screens. It enables fans to track cars live through each stage, view live driver split times, compare drivers head-to-head, and follow live classifications across every category. This enhanced sports experience will be available throughout each of the remaining eight rounds in the 2026 WRC season.
“Rally is one of the most demanding live sports experiences to translate for digital audiences, because the action is happening everywhere at once, across stages, split points, classifications and head-to-head battles,” said Kjetil Horneland, CEO, Ease Live. “Working with WRC Promoter and Rally.TV, Ease Live has helped create an interactive experience that makes that complexity easier and more engaging for fans to follow. It is exactly the type of data-driven, synchronized experience that can help sports rightsholders increase engagement, create new sponsorship inventory and build more valuable direct relationships with their audiences.”
For Rally.TV, this new interactive experience represents another step in making rally coverage more immersive for a new generation of fans, making interactivity a core part of how fans follow WRC in real time. Following its rollout across mobile devices and the Rally.TV website, the next phase will be to bring the experience to Smart TVs.
The launch builds on Ease Live’s work powering interactive overlays for major sports leagues, broadcasters and streaming services worldwide. The Ease Live Platform enables content owners to create and publish real-time interactive experiences synced to live video, including live statistics, polls, trivia, watch parties, contextual advertising and other data-driven features across web, mobile and connected devices.
For broadcasters, sports federations, streaming platforms and advertisers, the deployment also highlights the wider value of interactive overlays. By turning live data into an engagement layer, rightsholders can create new fan experiences while opening up additional commercial opportunities around key moments, sponsorships and contextual advertising.
“Rally fans want more than a passive stream; they want to understand the story of the stage as it happens,” said Philipp Maenner, Senior Director of Media Rights and OTT Platforms at WRC Promoter. “The new interactive experience powered by Ease Live enables Rally.TV to give viewers a clearer, more engaging way to follow every split, compare drivers in real time and stay connected to the leaderboard battle wherever they are. Working with Ease Live is helping us to bring this data-driven experience to fans across different devices as we continue to make rally coverage more immersive, accessible and interactive.”
