Standalone processors acknowledged for the innovation and value they bring to Pro AV
Las Vegas, NV – June 30, 2026 — Cobalt Digital, a leading designer and manufacturer of signal processing products, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative, has received Future’s Best of Show Award, presented by AVTechnology at InfoComm 2026 for its blueCORE family of standalone processors. The recognition marks the second major industry award for blueCORE since its debut at the 2026 NAB Show, bringing Cobalt’s total industry award count to 65.
Future’s Best of Show awards are evaluated by a panel of industry experts, including AV/IT managers, directors, engineers, consultants, integrators, and technology specialists. Entries are judged on innovation, feature set, perceived value, and their ability to solve real-world industry challenges.
The COBALT® blueCORE family of fully featured standalone signal processors impressed judges with its ability to seamlessly bridge SDI and ST 2110/IPMX environments while delivering comprehensive audio and video processing in a 1RU form factor. Designed for live production, broadcast, corporate, education, government, and Pro AV applications, blueCORE’s self-contained architecture makes deployment fast and simple: power it up, connect signals, and it’s ready to operate – with or without a computer. A large touchscreen and four illuminated control knobs allow functions to be adjusted without an external control panel. blueCORE can also be deployed in traditional fixed installations and remotely managed through a Web GUI.
“The products nominated for the Best of Show Awards showcase the innovation, creativity, and technical excellence on display throughout the exhibition. These standout solutions offer attendees a valuable look at the latest advancements in professional AV while recognizing the technologies making the biggest impact across the industry,” said the awards editorial team.
The award also highlights the growing momentum behind IPMX, the open standards-based media transport framework bringing interoperability to the Pro AV market. At InfoComm 2026, Future’s sister publication Sound & Video Contractor presented a separate Best of Show Award to AIMS for advancing IPMX across the industry.
Cobalt, an AIMS partner company, has been a strong advocate for IPMX adoption. The company was among the first manufacturers to achieve verified compliance status with IPMX specifications and today offers one of the industry’s broadest portfolios of certified IPMX solutions, helping customers transition to interoperable IP-based workflows with confidence.
“Cobalt Digital is incredibly proud to receive recognition from AV Technology for our blueCORE processors, validating the value they bring to both broadcast and Pro AV customers,” said Suzana Brady, SVP of worldwide sales and marketing at Cobalt Digital. “This award reflects our commitment to delivering practical innovations that help customers bridge today’s SDI workflows with tomorrow’s IP-based environments. We are equally proud to support the AIMS IPMX initiative, which continues to advance a truly interoperable and scalable IP media ecosystem. The recognition received by both blueCORE and IPMX at InfoComm reflects the industry’s accelerating transition toward open, interoperable media infrastructures, and we congratulate AIMS and all participating companies on this achievement.”
