Providius Announces Providius Direct for Faster AV-over-IP Network Investigation on NETGEAR Pro AV Switches

New NVRT-driven workflow enables on-demand traffic mirroring and guided troubleshooting for AV teams, integrators, and support organizations ahead of InfoComm 2026

HAMILTON, Ontario, Canada — June 16, 2026 — Providius today announced Providius Direct, a new workflow designed to help AV professionals investigate network issues faster in AV-over-IP environments running on supported NETGEAR Pro AV switches. Leveraging the Providius Network Visibility & Real-Time Telemetry (NVRT) platform, Providius Direct enables teams to initiate on-demand traffic mirroring and route captured traffic to Providius analysis tools for inspection and root cause analysis without manual switch reconfiguration or specialist network intervention.

AV-over-IP systems are increasingly distributed and mission-critical, yet troubleshooting has continued to depend on manual mirror configuration, precise timing, and access to scarce network engineering resources. Providius Direct is designed to address that gap by providing integrators, operators, and support organizations with a guided, repeatable path from a reported issue to packet-level evidence.

When an issue occurs, Providius Direct allows teams to enable dynamic traffic mirroring on supported NETGEAR Pro AV switches through the Providius NVRT interface. Selected traffic is routed to Providius CRIO (Capture, Record, Inspect, Observe) or Broadcast Media Guard (BMG) for analysis. The workflow supports remote troubleshooting and reduces the need for on-site escalation or manual changes to switch configuration.

“The NETGEAR Pro AV ecosystem is strongest when partners build on top of it in ways that make a real difference to integrators,” says Devan Cress, Global Business Development Director, Enterprise AV at NETGEAR. “Providius Direct does that: it gives teams a faster, more structured way to investigate issues on NETGEAR-based deployments, which ultimately makes our infrastructure a more confident choice.”

“AV-over-IP environments are becoming more dynamic, distributed, and mission-critical, which means teams need a faster way to capture the right traffic at the right time,” said Mathew Slack, VP of Enterprise Sales at Providius. “With Providius Direct, we’re reducing the complexity of network investigation by enabling users to safely mirror traffic across supported NETGEAR Pro AV switch environments through NVRT, helping integrators and end users move quickly from a reported issue to deeper analysis and actionable evidence.”

Providius Direct will be demonstrated at InfoComm 2026. Visit Providius at Booth N7209 to see the workflow in action or book a meeting in advance at meetings.hubspot.com/mathew-slack/infocomm-2026-booth-meeting.
